Think of it as a "telepathic fight". When Bayek eventually wins the fight, they truly die. These conversations happen within seconds, thus why the assassin can have decently long conversations with a dying target and not get attacked. Personally, I think these need to be touched on verbally in-game. Gave Bayek the blade, laid much of the seeds for the Creed to be realized. Had Bayek following her command and worshipping her every 3 steps he took. Personaly broke it off with Bayek to further advance the Hidden One motifs, and I like the revelation of her being Amunet, the one who kills Cleopatra with the snake.
