Hello Everyone, wonder if anybody can help me with this. My dad has bought himself a 2016 Ford Focus 1.0 EcoBoost, which is running well, apart from one thing. If driven for a very long time / or very quickly a smell of burning oil is noticed when you get out of the car.
Author. Posted April 7, 2022. Update. oil & filter changed. on the 2020 Ecoboost 1.0 engine the oil filter is at the front of the engine like on the 1.5 Ecoboost engine. It is the shorter stubby one, Ford part number: 2 207 993. Thanks everyone for all your input with regards to this post.

Hi I've had a red oil light come up on my ecoboost 1.0, there is a rattle to the car when I start it up and is idle but it goes when it's been on for a minute or so, the oil has been changed before the light came on so its not the oil being low. Could it be the oil pump that's stopped working or something
Ecoboost engines are wonderful when they are running well but nightmarish when something goes mechanically wrong. Take it to a Ford dealer as they will know exactly what it's supposed to sound like. Or find someone else with the same 1.0L Ecoboost to compare it with. Maybe a Youtube video might help.
Hi, has a major fuel leak on way home today, lost power, felt like misfire, pulled over and petrol spraying out from the pipe from high pressure fuel pump to injector rail, any idea where i can source a new one, searched for hours and cannot find anything, the pipe has part number CM5G9J323GC and can see a hairline crack by the joint.
